FAQs: Best Black Friday Deals for Runners
Do shoes go on sale during Black Friday?
Yes, plenty of shoes go on sale during Black Friday. Check out our Black Friday Deals On Running Shoes page to get the most up-to-date information on shoe savings. I’ll be adding new deals daily throughout the months of October and November.
Does everything get a discount on Black Friday?
Not necessarily, but Black Friday is the time of year where the majority of brands heavily discount at least some items. Plenty of retailers are looking to make space in their inventory for the holidays, which is why prices get cut on a variety of products (including home decor, clothing, and of course, fitness equipment).
What are the best running shoes?
Our favorite running shoes are the Brooks Ghost 14. These running shoes are excellent for crushing long distances without any undue foot pain. If you’re into more neutral cushioning, you’ll likely love these. Not wanting a neutral running shoe? Check out our best treadmill running shoes roundup for the scoop on other options.
We also recommend best-sellers like the Asics Gel series, Nike Air Zoom Pegasus’, and Adidas Ultraboosts.
Does Nike ever do Black Friday sales?
Yes. Right now, Nike is offering up to 60% off select products through 11/25/23.
How often should you buy runners?
If used frequently you should buy new runners about every six months. Of course, this depends on their condition and you may have to buy them sooner (or, if you’re lucky, they might last you longer than six months). Just make sure they’re comfortable and don’t have any major holes in the outsole.

The REP Sport Bumper Platesare designed to be a durable black bumper plate that can be used both outdoors and indoors. After using them in my home gym for the past month and comparing them to the many others on the market, we feel they are a solid, but not the best value available option. The design has some unique details and they’re marketed as being ‘ultra-durable,’ however, they’re warrantied the same as REP’s other plates and they’re a bit more expensive than the competition. If you like the design and colors, we recommend them. However, time will tell on their durability. Read more
