How To Find the Best Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sauna Deals
A sauna is a pretty significant purchase, both in terms of high-quality luxury models down to inflatable sauna tents. When shopping for the Black Friday sales on sauna and sauna kits, here are a few major things to consider based on our experience testing saunas of all sizes:
Check Out Our Best Sauna Reviews
We’ve tested several of the best home saunas (including the best infrared saunas). We use our custom fitness equipment testing methodologies to ask the hard questions. For high-ticket investments like home saunas, these include:
- Budget: Most luxury saunas cost significantly more than a sweat tent or a sauna suit. Consider your goals and budget. Are you looking for a quick and easy at-home sauna experience or are you looking to make a bigger investment in a full sauna system for sustained use?
- Heating capabilities: How does the sauna heater function? Is a sauna stove required or does it heat with a dial? Also, how long does it take to fully heat?
- Footprint: The type of sauna you choose will determine the footprint. For example, a one-to-two-person barrel sauna will probably take up much less room than a four-person infrared. How big is the sauna when fully assembled and how much space will you need to build it? Similarly, will you be building the sauna yourself or does it come with assembly help?
- Materials: We’ve covered the best wood for saunas, which may be able to help you narrow down whether you’re more of a “California cedar” or a “pine” person. With a sauna, craftsmanship matters, so you may also look at the type of heating elements it uses, such as whether there’s a stainless-steel stove for creating steam or a full-spectrum infrared heater. This is also important to consider should you choose to forgo the top brands entirely and attempt to DIY your home sauna. (We’d only suggest this for the DIY experts.)
- Seating: Is the user capacity accurate? Does your four-person far infrared sauna actually fit four people? Our team of testers have found discrepancies in the suggested versus actual size capacity before.
- Warranty: With great power comes great warranty, so you’ll want to make sure that your sauna is covered for inevitable wear and tear, especially if you place it outdoors.
We’ve reviewed several types of saunas using criteria like that listed above, so here’s a handy collection of our honest reviews—including several brands featured on this page—to help give you a better idea of the actual user experience and what you can expect after purchase:

What Are You Looking For in a Sauna?
Are you interested in the potential health benefits of a dry or infrared sauna, such as the potential for improving post-workout exercise capacity1, pain relief for those with rheumatic conditions2, and better sleep3 among regular sauna practitioners?
Aside from your “Why?” for this purchase, consider who will be using it, aside from yourself, and how long you hope for it to last. This line of thinking will set a one-person sweat tent apart from a low EMF infrared sauna that can fit the whole family.

Black Friday Sauna Deals: FAQs
What time of year do saunas go on sale?
The start of the winter or summer season is often a prime time for deals on luxury recovery items like saunas, hot tubs, and cold plunges. The winter rush often goes hand-in-hand with the Black Friday and Cyber Monday holiday savings season. Aside from those examples, it never hurts to check retailers around other holidays like Veterans Day and the Fourth of July.
Are home saunas worth it?
Those with the space and budget required for one often find that home saunas can have many general health and wellness benefits that make up for the total cost. Also, if you take excellent care of your sauna and pay close attention to its warranty, you’ll have a luxury piece of equipment that can last you a long time.
Do saunas increase your electric bill?
If you have a sauna that requires power to heat, then you should expect an uptick in your power usage (and electric bill) that will depend on the length of your sauna sessions. According to Sun Home Saunas, you can expect to use an extra 9 to 13 kW per session.
Is a steam or infrared sauna better?
The answer to this will depend on your personal preferences, such as heat tolerance, goals, and health conditions. Steam and infrared saunas are on opposite ends of the spectrum, so there isn’t one that’s better, but there is one that’s better for you. Here are a couple of expert resources to help you compare your options:
