Key Features of the NordicTrack Commercial 1500 Treadmill

The NordicTrack Commercial 1500 provides many benefits that can turn a good workout into a great one. When it was sold new, it was priced at $2,499 MSRP, but was often on sale.

We can start with the one-touch speed and incline adjustments that allow you to change speed and angle quickly so you can focus on performance. And with a 15-percent incline range and a top speed of 12 miles per hour, most trainees will have more than enough flexibility.

Prior to integrated interactive programming via iFIT, NordicTrack’s machines came with an iFIT module, called iFIT Live, which gave the purchaser year-long access to iFIT workouts. iFIT workouts will simulate having a personal trainer by your side as you walk or run. There are also 28 preset workouts available on the 1500, and you can add six custom workouts of your own that will remain programmed.

Footprint, Portability, and Durability

The footprint of the Commercial 1500 is a downside—you should make sure you have plenty of room for both using and storing this machine.

Although we couldn’t find the exact weight of the Commercial 1500 online, the Commercial 1750 weighs about 340 pounds fully assembled so we’ll guess that it’s comparable. The 1500 does have wheels and folds, but it will still be a challenge to move for many people. The footprint of this machine when unfolded will require over six feet in length, four feet in width, and it’s close to six feet tall at the top of the handle and display.

The good news is that because of that size, it is very durable. It has a weight capacity of 350 pounds as well. So, people that are starting a transformation can walk or run on it comfortably.

Ergonomics

Not only is the belt on the 1500 pre-lubricated, it has adjustable cushioning. This can help runners simulate running on the road as well as provide comfort to beginners or people who don’t want to deal with joint issues while exercising.

The 60-inch-long running deck will offer taller users and runners plenty of room to get into a comfortable stride for jogs or even occasional sprints. There are long handles on the sides as well as on the front so you have two ways to hold on comfortably while exercising. Last but not least, the quick-stop safety key on the center of the front handle will immediately end the session if necessary.

Technology Benefits and Conveniences

Most treadmills from NordicTrack or ProForm include a trial membership to iFIT. This machine includes a trial for iFIT Live with workouts designed by Jillian Michaels as well as one year of access to the iFIT website. This includes many workouts as well as chances to take part in interactive races with others. Furthermore, you can use Google Maps to perform runs on simulated courses. You can still use the machine without iFIT.

There are speakers built into the treadmill as well as a port for your iPod, smartphone, or mp3 player that will let you listen to whatever you have playing while you work out. You can also store that player as well as a water bottle on the shelf that is built in. The bright LCD display on the console is easy to operate and makes working the machine simple.

Final Verdict of Our NordicTrack Commercial 1500 Treadmill Review

If you happen to see a NordicTrack Commercial 1500 on the market, it could be a worthwhile investment. It’s a tough machine that will hold up to intense workouts. Even if you buy it as a beginner, it will be there for you once you become an advanced runner.
