Gummy vitamins are nothing new (Flintstones—IYKYK), but more and more nutrients are becoming available in candy form. Perhaps you’ve heard of ACV gummies (apple cider vinegar) or even creatine gummies

Goli is a brand known for its various gummy supplements, which pack essential nutrients (and nonessential ones) into convenient, tasty chewables. In our Goli Supergreens review, we’re taking a look specifically at the Goli Supergreens Gummies and their potential impact on your well-being.

Editor’s note: The information in this review is based on the supplements facts label of the product that our tester, GGR writer Amanda Capritto, received, which she ordered off of the Goli website directly. There are slight discrepancies among nutritional information across product listings for Goli Supergreens Gummies on the web.

A Quick Look at Goli Supergreens Gummies

Goli is a nutrition company that makes plant-based dietary supplements in gummy form. Goli has a gummy for just about everything: There are apple cider vinegar gummies, ashwagandha gummies, probiotic gummies, superfruit gummies, sleep gummies with magnesium, immune system support gummies, and more.

Truth be told, I stan Goli for doing this. Getting in your essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants each day is important, and it couldn’t be easier to do so when they’re a treat in the form of what’s basically candy.

Of course, there are some tradeoffs—namely sugar and calories—but let’s dive in and see how Goli Supergreens Gummies stack up to other greens supplements and if they’re a worthwhile way to support your overall health.

Goli Greens Gummies Label 2

Before You Buy

  • These aren’t best for the keto dieter—Goli Supergreens Gummies are not sugar-free. They contain 6 grams of carbs and 5 grams of sugar; keto dieters probably don’t want to get a chunk of their daily carbs from a greens supplement.
  • All Goli gummies are verified gluten-free, gelatin-free, vegan, non-GMO, and free from artificial sweeteners.
  • If you are looking for digestive health support, check out one of the best greens powders for bloating. Goli Supergreens Gummies do not contain digestive enzymes or prebiotics, and it contains minimal probiotics.

Are Goli Supergreens Gummies Worth It?

With a price per serving of less than $0.75, I think Goli Supergreens Gummies are at least worth a try for the right people. Here’s the rundown of who should try them and who might be better off with a different greens supplement.

  • Those who want a greens supplement without a ton of probiotics, prebiotics, fiber, or enzymes

  • Individuals who need supplements sweetened with real sugar

  • People on a keto diet or looking to minimize sugar intake

Experience Using Goli Supergreens Gummies

I ordered a pack of three containers of Goli Supergreens Gummies as part of our hands-on product testing for GGR’s nutrition and dietary supplement guides. As of this writing, I’ve gone through one container completely and have started on the second—suffice it to say I like these Supergreens Gummies.

I’ve been taking the gummies as suggested (two gummies, twice daily) for about a month now. Some days, I’ll just have one serving instead of two. On those days, it’s either because I took a different supplement with many of the same nutrients, like a multivitamin or a green drink, or just because I forgot to take the second serving at night.

So far, I haven’t noticed any newsworthy changes to my health or well-being, but that doesn’t necessarily mean nothing is happening on the inside. It’s often hard to tell how supplements impact our health when there are no visible changes like the kind that the best protein powder or best creatine can produce.

Price Per Serving

Goli Supergreens Gummies are one of the least expensive greens supplements that we’ve tried. If you purchase one container of the gummies from the Goli website without opting for the subscribe-and-save option, the cost is $0.63 per serving ($19 divided by 30 servings). The price decreases from there if you purchase more than one container and/or set up a subscription.

Holding A Goli Greens Gummy

The price per serving can vary greatly depending on where you buy. Prices may be different and fluctuate on Amazon, online from other retailers, and in-store.

Formulation

Goli Supergreens gummies contain a proprietary greens and probiotic blend, as well as various individual nutrients.

The Supergreens & Probiotics Blend contains artichoke leaf extract, spirulina, Bacillus subtilis, aloe vera, kale, moringa leaf, broccoli, barley grass, chlorella, parsley, spinach, and celery. The supplements facts label does not tell us how many colony-forming units (CFUs) of Bacillus subtilis are present.

Because of this, Goli Supergreens did not score as high in this category as it may have otherwise. This product earned 2.75 out of 5 stars against our criteria for formulation because we simply can’t tell how much of each ingredient is present and because it contains minimal whole-food-sourced ingredients compared to other greens supplements.

Additionally, the gummies contain:

  • Vitamin A as retinyl palmitate (25% daily value)
  • Thiamin as thiamin hydrochloride (50% DV)
  • Niacin as niacinamide (10% DV)
  • Vitamin B6 as pyridoxine hydrochloride (10% DV)
  • Folate as folic acid (10% DV)
  • Vitamin B12 as cyanocobalamin (1500% DV)
  • Pantothenic acid as d-calcium pantothenate (10% DV)
  • Iron as ferrous fumarate (16% DV)
  • Magnesium as magnesium citrate (2% DV)
  • Zinc as zinc citrate (10% DV)
  • Sodium (<1% DV)
Goli Greens Gummies Supplements Facts

There is no mention of the contents of vitamin C, D, E, K, or potassium.

Because these gummies contain high amounts of some nutrients—namely, thiamin, vitamin A, iron, and vitamin B12—it’s very important to double-check the labels of other supplements you are taking to ensure you avoid vitamin toxicity.

Vitamin toxicity occurs when you consume too much of a given vitamin. It is most common with fat-soluble vitamins including vitamin A. Your body can excrete water-soluble vitamins, such as B12, as waste in urine.

The remaining ingredients in Goli Supergreens Gummies include cane sugar, tapioca syrup, water, pectin, natural flavor, malic acid, citric acid, sodium citrate dihydrate, sunflower lecithin. These are all present for flavor, texture, or preservation.

Taste and Texture

I’ll be honest. I think my expectations for taste and texture were set way too high for this product. I’m not a big fan of greens powders (is anyone?), so I was really excited at the prospect of a tastier option. So, while the gummies are tasty, they were not as tasty as I was initially expecting.

When I approached this product thinking I’d be eating candy, I was taken aback by the sour and slightly earthy taste—as well as the very earthy, brown-green color. However, after a couple more tries, I started to really look forward to my daily Goli gummy.

The taste is definitely tart, and you won’t fully escape the grassy taste of greens supplements, but these most certainly taste much better than a typical greens powder.

The texture is quite like a real gummy candy, but a little mushier/softer, perhaps due to the use of pectin, a plant product, instead of gelatin, the animal byproduct generally used in gummy candy.

Side Effects

I have not experienced any negative side effects after more than a month of using this product, even on days when I take the suggested twice-daily dose. Potential side effects of greens supplements include bloating and other gastrointestinal distress, which can be the result of introducing your body to new ingredients like probiotics and enzymes. Such effects are typically temporary, but consult with your doctor if you have any severe or persistent side effects.

Goli Greens Gummies

Additionally, according to registered dietitian Destini Moody, author of our Green Vibrance review, individuals who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking any prescription medications should avoid greens powders unless they have been specifically directed by their doctor to take something.

Third-Party Testing

Goli Supergreens Gummies do not appear to be third-party tested. Although the gummies are non-GMO verified and certified vegan and gluten-free, there is no indication that the supplement is tested for other major allergens, heavy metals, pathogens, or banned substances in sport.

Third-party testing verifies some or all of the above and provides additional peace of mind when shopping for supplements, since current FDA regulations around supplements are so lax. However, because Goli Supergreens has a transparent label aside from the proprietary greens blend, and we’ve been personally testing it for more than a month, we’d venture to say it’s safe for general use.

You can read our Patriot Power Greens review to get all the details, but the gist is: Patriot Power Greens is by far the tastiest greens powder I’ve ever tried. I chose to compare it to Goli Supergreens because I assume people who are searching for greens gummies are looking for a tastier greens supplement.

Patriot Power Greens is something I can actually sip on slowly rather than chug in an attempt to drink some nutrients but avoid tasting them.

Two Goli Greens Gummies

In terms of nutritional profile, Patriot Power Greens may come out on top, depending on what you’re looking for. Patriot Power Greens contains more whole-food-sourced ingredients overall with an eye-boggling list of 76 ingredients. It contains 10 strains of probiotics and is sweetened with stevia instead of sugar.

Like the Supergreens Gummies, the Patriot Power Greens label doesn’t make it clear how much of what is in a serving of the powder. For example, there’s no information about the CFU count of probiotics.

As certified nutritionist Lindsay Boyers writes in our Patriot Power Greens review, “Because effectiveness of probiotics is dependent on their dosage1 (among other things), having this information would be beneficial. Of course, we’re not saying that this greens powder doesn’t have an effective dose—we just don’t know for sure.”

In this sense, either Supergreens or Patriot Power Greens could work for you if you’re not worried about the specifics. And neither may be the right choice for you if you’re the type who wants to know exactly what and how much you’re consuming. If you fall into the latter camp, check out Athletic Greens AG1, which is the gold standard for its label transparency and third-party testing (but be warned: It’s not cheap).

Customer Experience

Goli scored high in the customer experience category because the company offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on all products purchased directly from the Goli website. This is an ample window for customers to buy and try products and decide if they’re a good fit. You may return any products in any condition within that 30-day window, but you’ll be on the hook for return shipping.

Ordering Goli Supergreens

You can find Goli Supergreens Gummies at various retailers online and in person. They are available on Amazon, as well as at Walmart, Target, CVS, GNC, The Vitamin Shoppe, iHerb, Kroger, and more. Depending on the retailer, there may be a subscribe-and-save option available. Keep in mind that the money-back guarantee does not apply to purchases made on third-party websites.

Customer Reviews

As of this writing, Goli Supergreens Gummies have an average rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars on Amazon.

Several customers have had problems with the gummies becoming stuck together. One reviewer wrote that they love the gummies and the taste, but said, “I won’t be buying again until they figure out a way to prevent them from sticking together so badly in the bottle. They become a gooey mass inside the bottle. It is not merely difficult to separate each gummy from another; they actually have to be pried/pulled apart with a fork, and even then you end up with parts of each gummy on the fork.”

I personally didn’t experience any problems with the gummies melting together. However, I bought directly from Goli and not Amazon, which could make a difference because Amazon may store and ship differently than Goli.

There are few negative reviews about other things; mostly, people complain about stickiness (well, they’re gummies) or the taste (well, it’s barley grass and kale formed as candy…).

Positive reviews indicate that the majority of customers are satisfied with the taste, texture, shipping and delivery, and health benefits they perceive that they get from taking the gummies.

Final Verdict of Our Goli Supergreens Gummies Review

Goli Supergreens Gummies are a fun and different way to consume more micronutrients each day. The formula includes various veggies, a probiotic, and multiple vitamins and minerals.

I’d like to see more transparency on the label rather than a proprietary blend of ingredients so we can understand what exactly is in each gummy.

All things considered, Goli Supergreens Gummies are a nice alternative for people who can’t choke down a traditional greens powder and want something yummier.

Goli Supergreens FAQs

Do greens powders help with weight loss?

Greens powders are not innately a weight loss supplement. They can be used as a tool to support your health in many ways, and may have a place in your supplement regimen during periods of weight loss, but they alone will not help you lose weight.

What ingredients should be in a greens powder?

A greens supplement should contain at least three of the following types of ingredients: whole-food-sourced leafy green vegetables, cruciferous vegetables, and root vegetables; antioxidant-rich fruit and vegetable extracts or powders; probiotics, fiber, and/or digestive enzymes; and adaptogenic ingredients like ashwagandha and mushrooms. (See the best ashwagandha supplements).

What do green drinks do?

Depending on the ingredients in a given product, a greens supplement may support regular digestion, a healthy nervous system, immune function, stress management, sleep, and energy levels. Because greens powders typically have an array of micronutrients, they can support general, overall well-being.
