The Elite 5700 had a foldable design with a large 22-inch-wide-by-60-inch-long running surface. The 3.8 continuous horsepower (CHP) motor can achieve a top speed of 12 miles per hour, an incline of 15%, and a decline of 3%. The console has a variety of features to create a comfortable workout. The Elite 5700 can also monitor your heart rate with either a wireless chest strap or contact grips. We’ll get into more details below.
Footprint, Portability, and Durability
This is a large machine with dimensions just under six-and-a-half feet long and just over three feet wide. Fortunately, the treadmill will fold with SpaceSaver design and EasyLift Assist. The EasyLift assist will help you raise and lower the running deck without difficulty. It features a hydraulic lift, so you don’t have to worry about the deck dropping and harming your floors. This machine is not very portable. It is large and heavy. Once you have this in your home you won’t want to be moving it around much, even with the transport wheels.
The motor on the Elite 5700 is a 3.8 CHP motor, which is more than enough power for your workouts. We look for treadmills to have at least a 3.0 CHP motor for regular running use. It has an impressive user weight capacity of 400 pounds, which is much more than the industry standard 300 pounds. It also has an impressive warranty: lifetime frame and motor, five-year parts and electronics, and two-year labor. These things indicate the Elite 5700 will likely hold up well in your home.
Ergonomics
The large frame allows this treadmill to have a spacious 22-inch-wide and 60-inch-long running belt. This is large enough to accommodate taller runners, who will be able to reach a full stride easily on a deck of this length. The Elite 5700 also features FlexSelect cushioning. This allows you to customize the cushioning for your needs. If you want to run with more cushioning, turn FlexSelect on. If you turn it off, you’ll have a less cushioned running surface that more closely mimics the outdoor runs.

The Elite 5700 has a lot of technological benefits. It features a 7-inch color touchscreen display. There are 38 built-in workouts and the iFIT compatibility gives you access to thousands of additional treadmill and non-treadmill workouts with a subscription.You can even create your own routes with Google Maps. You can also monitor your heart rate with both contact-grip heart rate monitors and a wireless chest strap.
Conveniences on the console include one-touch controls for easy adjustments of both speed and incline/decline. The console also has two water bottle holders, AutoBreeze fans, and smartphone docking station. The console features dual three-inch speakers for playing your favorite workout mix as well.
