Product Summary
Altra’s Men’s Rivera 2 is a minimalist running shoe featuring a zero heel-to-toe drop designed to encourage better form and alignment. This sneaker has a moderate amount of Altra’s signature EGO foam offering some, but not too much cushioning. The Slim FootShape provides a snugger fit, intended to promote better alignment with a natural running movement. However, this design may not work for you if you have wider feet or prefer Altra’s signature wide toe boxes.
Runners appreciate the comfort and ergonomically shaped midsole, with one reviewer stating they are “the lightest and most comfortable running shoe” they had ever owned. One common complaint we found in reviews was that the Rivera 2 shows signs of wear and tear with less than 100 miles on them.
