Pros & Cons

What we like about the product...

  1. The Prime Adjustable Bench is one of the best incline benches we've ever tested or reviewed.
  2. There are a variety of options for incline from 0 degrees to 85 degrees.
  3. The seat pad has a lot of angle options to match the back pad.
  4. The padding is dense, but comfortable.
  5. The vinyl on the padding is premium and long-lasting.
  6. The weight of the bench at 95 LB is heavy enough to be stable, but light enough to move around easily.
  7. The back of the bench locks into the Prime Prodigy Racks and makes it extremely stable.
  8. The powder coat on the bench is tough, matches their racks, and looks good.
  9. Every part that touches other parts is rubber coated for grip and protection.
  10. There are multiple attachments including bicep curl pads and a decline leg attachment.
  11. The wheels are oversized and extremely durable making them great for garage gyms.

What needs improvement...

  1. The padding is soft, but we worry that it's too soft and could permanently deform over time.
  2. At $675 it is a bit pricey, but not any more than other benches at it's level.
  3. You can't buy the bench directly off of Prime's website yet. You have to call or email which is annoying.

    The Bottom Line

The Prime Adjustable Bench is one of the best adjustable benches we've ever used. It is pricey, but not more than some of the other competition like the Rogue AB-3 Adjustable Bench. If you're looking for an awesome bench that does it all and don't mind paying a premium price, this is definitely a bench we suggest. Although we would like to see Prime make it easier to order.
