The 1080v12s feature blown rubber outsoles in the forefoot, which New Balance states provides superior rebound. The underfoot cushioning and flex zones are based on pressure mapping data. There is a Fresh Foam X midsole. The upper features a bootie construction with Hypoknit upper that provides a snug fit with strategic areas of stretch.
