A hand holds a container of Morning Complete by ActivatedYou.

Many rely on supplements for specific fitness goals, like the best pre-workouts to boost energy, the best protein powder to help support recovery, or standalone supplements like creatine to increase strength and power.

However, one category of supplements that are often overlooked are the best greens powders, which provide a wide range of vitamins and minerals from different blends of fruits, vegetables, and various superfoods. You may not feel the impact the way you can feel caffeine kick in, but a well-formulated greens powder provides your body with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants and may contain other health-boosting ingredients.

In this ActivatedYou Morning Complete review, I’ll break down one of the most potent greens powders we’ve tested, which is full of other health-promoting ingredients. I’ve been using this product for several weeks, and I’ll share my thoughts on the formulation, taste, experience, and more to help you decide if it’s worth the high price tag.

Analyzed by Certified Nutrition Professionals

Here at Garage Gym Reviews, all products are carefully tested and scored by a variety of certified fitness professionals., We use our custom supplement testing methodology to ensure we’re providing an unbiased score. Our methodology considers the most important factors of a given supplement, including formulation, value, side effects, solubility, flavor, and more.

Our testers include certified personal trainers, gym owners, CrossFit enthusiasts, and even an Olympian. As a certified nutrition coach, I’ve spent years studying health and nutrition science, and I understand what to look for in a supplement. I also spoke with Destini Moody, a registered sports dietitian, to get her professional analysis of Morning Complete’s formulation.

Bottom Line

Morning Complete is a powdered supplement meant to be added to 8 ounces of water and consumed in the morning. This product is designed to support overall wellness, energy levels, and digestive health. However, it may worsen digestive symptoms like abdominal pain or diarrhea because it contains aloe vera. It has very mixed reviews on effectiveness.

A Quick Look at Morning Complete

Morning Complete is a daily health supplement from ActivatedYou, a company specializing in wellness products like greens, collagen, probiotics, gut health formulas, and more. Like many other greens powders, Morning Complete is a daily supplement, but it contains more ingredients than other super greens powders.

The ingredients in Morning Complete are chosen to support specific health goals, like gut health, energy levels, and healthy cellular function. The formulation includes a prebiotic and fiber blend, greens superfood blend, metabolic enhancing blend, antioxidant blend, blood sugar support, adaptogens, liver support, and even probiotics.

RELATED: 10 Super Greens Powder Benefits

It’s certainly not cheap, but if you’re looking for a daily supplement designed to support various health goals, Morning Complete is a good option.

Before You Buy

  • Each serving contains greens extracts, adaptogens, probiotics, and dietary fiber.
  • While the instructions say to refrigerate after opening, the product doesn’t ship cold, so it’s hard to say how potent the probiotics will be.
  • At $1.63 per serving for ActivatedYou members, it’s not cheap, but if you order from ActivatedYou, you’ll have 90 days to try the product and request a refund if you’re not happy.

Is Morning Complete Worth It?

This dietary supplement is packed with nutrients designed to offer a variety of health benefits and support a healthy gut microbiome, but that doesn’t mean it’s a must-have for everyone. Here’s who we think would benefit the most from this formula.

Morning Complete by ActivatedYou.

Great for:

  • People who don’t regularly eat fruits and vegetables
  • Anyone interested in supporting their gut health
  • Those who want an all-in-one health supplement

Not recommended for:

  • Those on a tight budget
  • People who don’t like the taste of green powders
  • Anyone already using a probiotic supplement

Experience Using Morning Complete

To review this product, I’ve been taking one scoop of Morning Complete as part of my morning routine for the past three weeks. I regularly use greens powders for some nutritional insurance, but this was my first time using Morning Complete.

Pouring a scoop of Morning Complete into a shaker cup.

Overall, I was very impressed with the formulation and surprisingly pleasant flavor, a rare find among greens powders. It’s easy to mix and a refreshing way to start my morning, but it’s hard to comment on any particular benefits I noticed, as I was already using a different greens powder and probiotic blend.

That said, I certainly didn’t notice any negative side effects, and of all the greens I’ve tried over the years, this is one I actually look forward to drinking every morning.

RELATED: Greens Powder vs. Multivitamins

Price Per Serving

The price per serving was $1.63 for me, earning a rating of 3 out of 5.

However, the pricing may seem slightly confusing. When you order from ActivatedYou, you’ll see the default price is $79, but if you create a free VIP account, the price comes down to only $49, which I used to calculate the price per serving. You can also buy it on Amazon for about $58 at the time of writing, so it’s cheaper to order from ActivatedYou (with an account).

You can save even more by ordering three or six jars at a time. The most affordable option is to order six jars for $249, bringing the price per serving all the way down to $1.38, though six jars is a big commitment.

Formulation

The formulation is pretty impressive, and I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

To start, I like that all ingredients are grouped by their intended benefit. Each serving contains fiber and probiotics for a healthy digestive system, adaptogens to relieve stress, liver support and blood sugar support, metabolic support, and a blend of superfoods to promote overall health and well-being.

Supplement Facts label on a bottle of Morning Complete by ActivatedYou.

My only callout is the lack of refrigeration as studies show probiotics may lose potency1 over time at room temperature. While Morning Complete says to refrigerate after opening, the product isn’t shipped cold, so it’s hard to say how potent the included probiotics are.

Taste and Solubility

Taste is always subjective and hard to score, but I have to give this a 4 out of 5 for both taste and solubility. I’ve tried five to six greens powders over the years, and while they all have a bit of an earthy, grassy flavor, this was one of the best-tasting greens I’ve tried.

I tried the Apple Cinnamon flavor, which had a light, earthy taste but mostly tasted like apple juice with a hint of cinnamon. It wasn’t overpowering and didn’t have a strong artificial sweetener flavor, just a very mild, refreshing, crisp apple flavor.

A freshly-mixed serving of Morning Complete.

RELATED: How to Make Greens Powder Taste Better

As with most greens, there was a little bit of clumping when mixed with a spoon in cold water, but it wasn’t bad at all. I also used a hand mixer and tried mixing it in a shaker cup, and both dissolved the powder entirely.

Side Effects

I didn’t experience any side effects, so Morning Complete earns a 5-out-of-5-star rating for this category.

Individual responses may vary, and those with food sensitivities to any of the ingredients may need to avoid this product, as several of the negative reviews mention digestive issues like bloating, stomach pain, and nausea.

RELATED: Do Greens Make You Poop?

Morning Complete contains aloe vera and warns that it may worsen conditions associated with IBS, like diarrhea, loose stools, or abdominal pain.

Third-Party Testing

Third-party testing is important in a supplement, as it ensures a product contains what’s stated on the label and is free of banned or harmful ingredients. ActivatedYou claims to test all products as independent, third-party facilities but doesn’t disclose who’s doing the testing or share results.

For this category, Morning Complete earns a 3 out of 5. Testing is great, but we’d love to see testing from a major organization like Informed Choice or published testing results.

Registered Dietitian’s Analysis

While I had my own thoughts about this formula, I also asked Destini Moody, RD, CSSD, LD, head of performance nutrition for the NBA G League Ignite what she thought about Morning Complete.

Overall, she liked the formulation, pointing out that the B. coagulans probiotic is a strain that may help improve athletic performance. She was also impressed that each serving contains about four grams of fiber, saying, “One of my main complaints about greens powders is the lack of fiber that you could get from just eating the vegetables in their whole food form, so the decision to fortify the supplement with fiber is one I respect.”

Morning Complete uses  a prebiotic fiber to feed the good bacteria living in your gut and promote regular bowel movements.

However, Destini did have a few callouts. She adds, “Only about 1/2 tablespoon serving size for a lot of ingredients causes me to question the potency. Though the antioxidants are there, it would have been nice to see some more micronutrients added (especially considering the price) since it’s called an ‘overall wellness drink.’ It seems to be more like a gut health supplement with greens, than an all-in-one product.”

Morning Complete vs Transparent Labs Prebiotic Greens

Product Highlights

  • Combines algae greens and prebiotic fibers to improve gut health
  • Each serving has 3 grams of spirulina, 3 grams of chlorella, 3 grams of organic acacia fiber, 3 grams of organic green banana flour, and 1 gram of organic Jerusalem artichoke fiber
  • Gluten-free
  • Gut-flora-friendly greens drink
  • Available in unflavored, Peach Mango flavor, and Pineapple Coconut

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Packed with fiber, gut-flora-friendly greens, and mineral-dense veggies
  • Effectively works to improve gut health
  • Combines algae greens and prebiotic fibers
  • 60-day money-back guarantee

Cons

  • Tastes bitter to some

Bottom Line

Combining an algae greens blend with prebiotic fibers, Prebiotic Greens is intended to improve digestion and health.

Transparent Labs Prebiotic Greens is a great option if you’re looking for another greens formula containing prebiotic fibers.

Transparent Labs formulated its greens formula using aquatic greens and prebiotic fibers rather than the traditional vegetable sources found in other greens. The main ingredients are chlorella and spirulina, which may reduce inflammation, improve exercise endurance, and support cardiovascular health2.

However, while Transparent Labs is the more affordable product, Morning Complete has a longer ingredient list and includes adaptogens, which are meant to help your body manage stress.

Overall, Morning Complete is the better choice for those who don’t mind spending a little more for a longer ingredient list, while Transparent Labs Prebiotic Greens are best for those who want to save money while still enjoying a greens powder that contains prebiotic fiber.

Customer Experience

If you order from ActivatedYou, you’ll be able to take advantage of the company’s 90-day money-back guarantee. You have a full 90 days to try the product, and if you’re not happy, they’ll refund your order, even if it’s been partially used.

However, you have to pay for your own return shipping, so I had to dock a point and give the customer experience a 4 out of 5.

If you need to contact customer support, you can do so via the contact form on www.activatedyou.com, phone, or live chat.

Ordering Morning Complete

When you order from ActivatedYou, orders over $50 ship for free, and the free VIP membership offers free shipping on all orders. You can also order Morning Complete from Amazon and receive free Prime shipping, but the cost is higher, around $58 per tub at the time of writing.

You can check out with PayPal, but there are no financing options with ActivatedYou.

Customer Reviews

Morning Complete currently has a rating of 3.9 out of 5 on Amazon with 4,369 reviews, and a 4.8 out of 5 on the ActivatedYou website, with 2,152 reviews.

Most positive reviews mentioned reduced bloating, regular bowel movements, reduced constipation, and a pleasant taste, while some negative reviews reported gas, bloating, and digestive discomfort.

Final Verdict of Our Morning Complete Review

Morning Complete is a multi-purpose supplement that combines greens powder with probiotics, fiber, and adaptogens. The result is a balanced daily supplement with a pleasant taste, but a high price tag.

If you’re already consuming fiber or probiotics supplements as part of your daily routine, you can probably skip this one and go with a simple greens powder instead. But if you like the idea of a supplement that combines greens, fiber, and probiotics into one daily serving, this may be worth a try.

  • Each serving contains 10 billion CFUs (or colony-forming units) of probiotics, but it’s not refrigerated, so the potency may vary.
  • While most report improved digestive health, those with particular food sensitivities may need to avoid this product.
  • If you order from ActivatedYou, you’ll have a full 90 days to try out the product and return it if you’re not happy.
