Ergatta Rower
Pros & Cons
What we like about the product...
- Smooth rowing experience
- Lots of useful data
- Aesthetic style
- Gamified programming
What needs improvement...
- Water has to be replaced every so often
- Resistance cannot be changed
- Although the gamification is fantastic, I know many people would love the option of trainer-led workouts.
Product Summary & Specs
For those who like the latest and greatest in technology-based fitness equipment, the Ergatta Rower will likely be a big hit. This rowing machine is designed with data and unique programming at the forefront. Plus, it is crafted using cherry wood to give it a streamlined appearance (for those of us who might have to store our rowing machine in our living room).
Even better? The Ergatta is accommodating for a variety of heights and weights. This makes it an ideal choice for a wider range of people. Plus, if you’re familiar with WaterRower, you’ll find the Ergatta to be quite similar. This is because the Ergatta is actually simply a WaterRower with an attached touchscreen to view programming. It has the technology today’s cardio machines demand with the quality you may be already familiar with due to the WaterRower components.

The Bottom Line
I think the machine is aesthetically-pleasing (which is an often overlooked attribute for equipment that lives in peoples homes) and the programming is interesting and engaging. If you’re looking for a water-powered rowing machine and want programming that’s different from what’s typically offered, you'll be a fan of the Ergatta.
