Celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak may not be a superhero, but he does have a secret power: helping some of Hollywood’s biggest names achieve a comic book-like physique

The Canadian personal trainer has worked with Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr., Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire, and other celebrities like Ariana Grande, Halle Berry, Lady Gaga, Jason Sudeikis, Seth Rogen, and Megan Fox. Seriously, his clientele could fill an entire Walk of Fame.

But now he’s getting ready to take on his biggest client yet: You. That’s right, you.

Garage Gym Reviews has teamed up with Harley to bring you the Ultimate A-List leg day workout. This workout is similar to what he puts his clients through.

“I love this circuit because it focuses on the posterior chain,” Harley explains. “With a focus on these muscles, this will help restore proper posture, reduce chances for injuries, and create the illusion of a longer physique. I also like how each one of these is lateral. This ensures you are not letting your dominant side do most of the work on any move.”

A circuit means you’re going to do each move for the prescribed amount of reps one right after the other. So once you’re done with the first move, you’ll go right into the second without a break, and so on.

If your legs aren’t tired after the first circuit, just wait until you have to do 30 walking lunges (15 per side).

“Throwing the walking lunge in between every set keeps the heart rate up throughout the workout,” the fitness expert says.

Tips and Tricks

Here are some pointers to help you nail this workout.

  • For the active clamshells, you can use a resistance band to help keep your legs in place. This will also increase the tension on the glutes.
  • Find a sturdy weight bench for the single-leg hip thrusts.
  • The dumbbell deadlifts can be done with fixed weights or adjustable dumbbells
