I have 4 45 lb bumpers and they are a good starter set for bumpers. I think if I were to do it over again, I would just go with steel plates and put more money in my flooring but it is nice to have one set of bumpers. They are just big enough that if you want to add 45 lb steel plates, they will be slightly elevated from the floor.
This is one place that I really wish I had spent more money. I have had my gym for just a few months and I would already really like to replace the rack. The J-hooks are my biggest complaint because they are just a steel J Hook that will tear up your gear. You can buy separate hooks but to me that feels like good money chasing a bad outcome. I am considering getting either a REP squat stand as a replacement or an ethos cage. The money is not that different but I think quality is much better. Another issue I had with this stand is my spotter bars are bent and I cannot move them up and down. Not a huge deal, but once again a bad sign of quality control.
After four months of use, this is ready to be thrown away. There is no stability to the bench and many of the incline settings don't line up so they are unusable. Find a better option.
