Pros & Cons

What we like about the product...

  1. The most common phrase we hear from people regarding their Echo Bike is, "it's like Rogue took one of their squat racks and made it into a bike." It's that beefy.
  2. Weighing in at 127 LB, the Echo Bike rocks side to side very little even with the strongest athlete going all out on a sprint.
  3. Pretty much everything is made of black powder-coated metal; from the frame to the fan blades.
  4. The Echo features a belt-driven fan instead of the traditional chain-driven system that leads to quick stops and starts and much less maintenance.
  5. The LCD console screen is easy to read and features every metric you'd want.
  6. The bottom of the legs feature leveling feet that can be adjusted depending on what the floor is like in your gym.
  7. Although beefier than most other bikes, the Echo Bike still only takes up 44.5" in length and 23.75' in width.
  8. The front wheels are oversized and heavy-duty which makes maneuvering the bike easy.
  9. The Echo Bike is one of the better-looking air bikes on the market. This is objective, but the matte black powder-coat matches most other gym equipment.

What needs improvement...

  1. The overall size of the bike is bigger than pretty much every other air bike. This can be a negative or positive depending on your space and preferences.
  2. The belt drive is overall harder to push than a chain drive like what's on the Assault Bike. Users report the chain drive being easier to "ghost ride" including CrossFit Games Athlete Jason Khalipa.
  3. The Echo Bike, although not the most expensive air bike on the market, certainly isn't the cheapest.
  4. One user reported that, "All the proportions on this bike feel much bigger than traditional air bikes. Smaller people can find difficulties with fit."

Product Summary & Specs

The Rogue Echo Bike combines heavy-duty steel, precision engineering, and convenient customization to forge a stronger, sturdier fan bike.

Overbuilt for a Smoother Ride

This overbuilt 127LB, 350LB weight limit unit provides a rock solid foundation for max output bursts, while still offering easy portability around the gym via a set of 1″ polyurethane front wheels. A quiet, belt-driven steel fan blade produces a smooth, consistent ride, while a high-contrast, battery-powered LCD console allows athletes to track intervals, distance, calories burned, heart rate, and more.

Rogue Fitness (Rogue) warrants that the ECHO Bike (Product) shall be free from defect in material and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase when the product is used under normal uses and conditions and as recommended in the User Guide.

Weighing in at 127LB, 350LB weight limit, the Echo Bike is not the wobbling breed of exercise bike. Its reinforced steel construction gives it the rigidity and balance to help eliminate sways and bumps during even max output bursts, and the fan’s steady response delivers a uniquely consistent, smooth riding experience. For added stability, we’ve included rubber leveling feet under each base tube. These feet adapt to your flooring and provide added “stick,” helping to level the bike even if it’s not on a level surface.

The mounted LCD console measures 6.375″ x 6.375″ and features a crystal clear, high contrast display. Athletes can select or create a wide range of modes, including Intervals (20/10, 10/20 or a custom Work/Rest interval), Target (choose a goal Time, Distance or Calories and the console will count down based on your selection), and Heart Rate Tracking (please note that a heart rate transmitter is required to send data, but is not included). The console runs on two AA batteries, which are included.

The Echo Bike is built with a range of durable steel tubing (2×3″, 1.25×3″, and 1.625×3.125″ steel finished in a texture black powdercoat. The adjustable padded seat locks into 8 different height settings and 5 front-to-back settings, and the 1.5” diameter rubber grip handles are welded directly to the bike’s arms for added rigidity. A steel step plate is provided along with knurled 4.5″ long rotating foot pegs and rubber-tread pedals. The fan itself is a belt-driven, precision steel blade.

Assembly is required to set-up the Echo Bike, but all necessary tools and black hardware are included standard with your order, along with easy step-by-step guidelines. While the fully constructed bike is a beast, we’ve included a set of 1″ wide polyurethane wheels at the front of the unit, allowing it to be rolled around the gym or stored out of the way with ease.

    The Bottom Line

The Rogue Echo Bike is our Top Pick for the Best Air Bike for most people. We've tested just about every air bike on the market, and the Echo combines many of our favorite features into one. The belt drive is much more durable and requires less maintenance than a chain drive. The size and weight make it extremely stable, and the price is much less than we'd expect for such a quality piece of equipment. If you want an air bike, this is the one we suggest.
