Product Summary

The Tru Grit Black Zinc Bar is a durable barbell perfect for people who train with Olympic lifts or stick to traditional weightlifting. It has a tensile strength of 205,000 pounds-per-square-inch, so it should be able to hold just about everything you throw at it.

We love that this bar has center knurling for additional grip during heavy squats, but wish it had a second set of knurling marks for those who do powerlifting movements. That said, this bar does utilize a bearings-style spinning mechanism rather than bushings.

At a little less than $300, minus shipping, this isn’t the most expensive barbell but it’s also not the most budget-friendly. But we still think it’s a great value for most home gym owners.
