Choosing the right barbell is both an art and a science, but we have included the most important details below to make your choice as easy as possible. \n \nStrength & Whip: A true Olympic bar at 28mm diameter for an easy grip, and at 230k tensile strength with a 1500 lb rating, bending this bar will not be an issue. Cheaper bars use a lesser grade steel and add thickness to the bar. 28mm and the right type of steel both bring a better whip to the barbell, making it a great mixed use barbell. \n \nCoating: Hard chrome coating is the most rust resistance and lowest maintenance of any coating available. This is an expensive coating that is avoided by other bar manufacturers who typically use an oxide coating that rusts. \n \nSpin: With 5 needle bearings per sleeve, the spin is smooth and the turn-over during cleans and snatches is phenomenal. \n \nKnurl: With a medium depth knurling, it has plenty of knurl for your heavy lifts, but not a shark tooth knurl that rips up your hands for higher rep workouts.
