While I love the bike--solidly built to last--the battery life is terrible. Granted, it is in a hot garage, but the two AA batteries only last me 3 weeks of use (2x/wk). The display eventually dims so low that it is unreadable.
I looked through the owner's manual several times and there is no other power down mode other than standby. I suppose that I could either pull the batteries or install a switch to physically cut the electrical connection to the battery?
I hate to see how long the battery lasts in the winter when it's very cold in my garage gym!
